 It could seem strange, but the majority of the bank cards are used as identifiers, and not as carriers of information about the status of a certain account. Such are all VISA, Eurocard/MasterCard, American Express. These cards have a magnet tape, which contains information about the type of the client’s account. Their main types are:
• PIN (personal identification number) Cards – they are used to identify the holder of the account
• Independent electronic "portfolio"
• Electronic "portfolio", allowing doubling of the eminent’s account
